Oak security truncheon turned hardwood

For sale, a vintage and extremely tactile hardwood, possibly sustainable Malaysian Oak, security truncheon or nightstick. This turned oak truncheon was carried by a security officer at a well known Birmingham university! Retains an attractive vintage patination to the oak and it remains a sturdy, solid piece of functional woodenware. I can’t say for certain if this piece was originally a British police service truncheon but there is no hole for a lanyard, which makes me think it was not.

Original used condition. No sign of splits or cracks, repair or restoration. Usual patination, wear and signs of use typical of an antique or vintage item of this age.
